In order to collaborate two of Sydney's most favourite icons, I went to great lengths in searching for the perfect spot to set up my gear. This shot took weeks to frame. Walking around during the day with my view finder, I finally found a spot which looked satisfying to the eye. The next step was to set a time to return.
It was a warm summer day. I knew the conditions at sunset would be perfect. I needed to make the shot perfect. I placed several high tech filters over the lens and held the exposure for over 15 minutes. I only had time for two shots that night, and this is the end result. the picture shows warm colours and character of our famous Sydney Harbour. I had no choice but to title this Star of the Opera. Relish the moment.
